THE RESULTS!

First Impressions

Simple is the first word that comes to mind there isn't much going on and it keeps things simple and not excessive. Also there is a lack of color.

Look

Guest's Outlook: A guest has a rather frustrating. because as a guest I get a pop message that I need to join and that pushes me right away to decide. When you first land on your site, you have very little info. The home link doesn't take to the the main page but your forum. You should consider changing this link to "forum(s)". Also your portal seems to be lacking in some info. The scrolling box is ok but you might want to consider adding a static text explaining what your site is about and in general info that may be important such as a description of your board, stats, events, new members ect. In general as a guest there is not much helpful info. Some may not be willing to find the info there looking for.

Logos and Banners: Interesting banner. I can tell its music related. But its a little one note. Try adding some colors to the banner so it stands out.

Quantity of Forums: The number of forums seems to be working for you just fine. Lack of some theme names and in general very strait forward thats ok.

Advertisements: google ad sesne dosen't get in the way but dosen't seem to very targeted. I'm sure these are forced by the forum service right?

Color Scheme and Styles: Black and White and Grey. These are the only shades I see. No hints of color expect in member names. I find it to be monotone and rather boring. There needs to be more color to draw people in. Also the black and white is hard on the eyes. Text is really hard to read and rather small.

Consider adding another theme with more color.

Page and Image Sizes: No scrolling needing nothing wrong here.

Favicon, Buttons, and Other Graphics:

Favicon is fine an F in black. Other graphics are not eye catching and are just circles with black or Grey color. Consider a guitar pick as a base image for a button set.

Feel

Theme: This is a board called Fans on fire. I don't see fire in theme. I see black and white and a lack of color and theme. The skin while not bad. Simply dosen't convey the theme of the site. There needs to be more color maybe hot colors such as red,oranges, ect. To show the fire and give the skin some flair. Besides the banner I don't see much indication of the sites topic. The banner dosen't even give enough indication as it dosen't pop. It almost blends in.

Sense of Community and Participation Overview:

You have a a good number of members who post a lot and seem to very active. But you have many members with zero posts. I would recommend contacting these people to remind them their a member of your forum and see if they need help.

Postcount and Quality:

Post count is for the most part good and people seem to have no trouble posting but there again several zero posters.

It seems like posts tend to be a little shorter but that isn't necessarily bad.

Contests, Games, and Diversions:

From what I've seen there isn't games. But a pod cast seems to be on going.

Management

Points of Registration:

Customized registration notice with a few rules of the forum.


Rules, FAQ, and Privacy Policy: Standard FAQ, Rules need improvement, no mention of a rating of the forum and what type of content is allowed. Video in the rules thread makes no sense.

Quantity and Activity of Staff:

You seem to have enough staff and they are for the most part very active.


Overall Impressions
In general a good forum that lacks branding and flair. The skin just feels boring and dosen't give the impression one would want for a board like this.

I think if another more colorful skin was chosen and some attention to what a guest see was taken. also a custom button set was used. You would draw more members in.

Also rules need to be clarified as they seem vage.

The colors are good, although I can understand the 0 post things.. Like it said a long time ago, if the people are here for like a month without any posts, consider them leachers and ban them...
