My dad's in the hospital.

He somehow got Staph Infection; he almost died. He's conscious, but the infection is in his heart. Nobody is sure whether or not he'll make it through.

*goes on to rant his life story about the divorce and so on*

Fucking update.

We haven't heard from dad in a long while. He hasn't called us since June. We were going to go visit him last weekend, but we then found out they moved him to a nursing home. We don't know where it is, so we can't see him.

WORST OF ALL, though, is this total what-the-fuck moment.

Apparently, he specifically asked for all the doctors to not reveal any information on his condition. My other grandparents, his parents, came to Virginia from Florida just to see how he was doing.

We don't know how he's doing, if he's alive or dead, nothing. Last we heard, he had a high fever.

Dude, all I can say is I'm really sorry that you have to go through this. You're young and nobody should be subjected to this. Our world is just fucked up that way... honestly, it could possibly be that your father is ashamed, but I don't know specific details, so I won't judge.

It's definitely that. Growing up, he never had a good relationship with his parents. Why everyone else should suffer because of that... it's just wrong on so many levels...
